Job Description :
Our client, a leading Commercial Real Estate Investment Manager, with over $7 billion AUM, is looking for a talented analyst to join their team in the Bay Area. The analyst will work on deals from acquisition due diligence through asset management and disposition of the assets. This firm focuses on investing in major urban markets throughout the US.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Participating in the due diligence process, market analysis and competitive positioning of the asset;
*Assessing new real estate investment opportunities, calculating IRR, preparing discounted cash flow waterfall analysis using Excel and Argus;
*Traveling to properties to conduct site inspections;
*Assisting in the preparation of Investment Committee Memoranda and participating in presentations;
*Helping to manage all aspects of property operations led by local partners;
*Participating in the design process for redevelopment and new development projects;
*Reviewing operating budgets, joint venture partnerships, management and loan documents;
*Analyzing quarterly property valuations and negotiating prospective leases;
*Playing an integral role in asset level financings and disposition strategy.
Required Qualifications :
The ideal candidate MUST possess:
*12-18 months commercial real estate analysis experience at the asset level; not just portfolio's of assets;
*Undergraduate degree from a highly reputable institution with a proven track record of academic excellence; strongly prefer GPA's of 3.5 or higher;
*Expert level financial modeling skills utilizing both Excel and Argus;
*Exceptional interpersonal, written communication and organizational skills;
*Natural drive and enthusiasm for commercial real estate;
*Ability to self direct and self motivate; this team travels and there are times when the analyst will be alone in the office or only have one or two others with them;
*Ability to learn quickly, meet tight dealines, multi-task and have a proactive, positive attitude.
